What we know about Ambrosia
Ambrosia is one of the regions Rockstar has named. It centers on a sugar refinery and the town that grew around it, with farmland stretching in every direction.
Small industrial towns like this have always been fertile ground for GTA's rural satire, so expect it to be rougher than its sweet name implies.
The real sugar towns
South of Lake Okeechobee, Florida's largest freshwater lake, lies a huge farming region planted with sugarcane. Towns such as Clewiston, which calls itself America's Sweetest Town, and Belle Glade are built around the industry.
The area is flat, rural and industrial, with mills, cane fields and the grassy Herbert Hoover Dike holding back the lake.
What to expect
- A refinery complex with smokestacks and rail lines.
- Cane fields and farm roads ideal for off-road chases.
- A small-town main street with its own local power players.
