What we know about Port Gellhorn
Port Gellhorn is one of Rockstar's named regions. Everything shown so far paints it as a faded coastal town that has seen better days, not a tourist hotspot.
Its position on the western strip of the state puts it about as far from Vice City as you can get in Leonida.
The real Florida Panhandle
The Panhandle is the long strip of north-west Florida along the Gulf of Mexico. It feels closer to the Deep South than to Miami, with pine forests, small beach towns, fishing ports and military bases.
Towns along this coast mix white-sand beaches with struggling main streets, which is exactly the contrast a GTA satire likes to exploit.
What to expect
- Motels, strip malls and half-empty boardwalks.
- A working port with fishing boats and industrial docks.
- Long, quiet highways connecting it to the rest of the state.
